About Us
OUR FAMILY’S HERE FOR YOUR FAMILY
At Orchard Park Optometry, we’re incredibly proud of the team we have built. From your family to our practice’s family, we strive to create a welcoming experience for everyone we see.
We believe eye care goes beyond seeing patients for regular eye exams. With all our patients and families, we want to educate them on their eye health and how to protect their vision. Your vision is one of your most treasured assets, and we’re here to help you protect it.
Mat Broschak is the proud owner of Orchard Park Optometry, which is now into its 14th year of service to our loyal patients! He graduated from the University of Calgary in 2001 with his Bachelor of Science and went on to complete his Doctor of Optometry training at the Illinois College of Optometry, graduating in 2005. His main focus is primary eye care for all age groups with a special interest in dry eye management and contact lenses, and he enjoys the education aspect of teaching patients all about vision care.
In his free time, he enjoys golf, biking, skiing and all the things the outdoors has to offer. He is an avid traveller and has been to places as far away as Japan and South Africa. OneSight, a non-profit organization that provides free eye care around the world for those less fortunate, is a particular passion of Dr. Broschak, and he has contributed his time at several clinics to provide free glasses and eye care for people in underprivileged countries.
Dr. Broschak has been listed on threebestrated.ca as one of the top three best Kelowna optometrists.
“Vision is a most precious gift and I will see it through to protect it for as many people as I can.” - Dr. Mat Broschak

Audrey Janelle-Brousseau
Dr. Janelle graduated from University of Montreal’s School of Optometry in 2018. During her studies, she had the opportunity to expand her knowledge and clinical skills in ocular disease during a rotation at a Veteran’s Hospital in Rhode Island. Her social implication brought her to Ecuador where she volunteered to provide free eye exams and glasses for the less fortunate population. Driven by her strong interest in specialty contact lenses, she then completed a Cornea and Contact Lens Residency in 2020.
Before moving to Kelowna, she worked at University of Montreal Vision Clinic and trained future optometrists. Dr Janelle is very excited to join the Orchard park clinic and offer comprehensive eye exams to the community. Her previous experiences helped her develop an expertise in myopia management, pediatric optometry and contact lens fittings for irregular corneas.
During her time off, you can find her enjoying all of the outdoor activities the beautiful Okanagan has to offer: skiing, hiking, climbing and swimming.
